John MacKenna has authored twenty-three books – novels, short-story collections, memoir and poetry, he is a winner of The Irish Times; Hennessy and C Day Lewis awards. He also won a Jacobs Radio award for his documentary series on Leonard Cohen and a Wordplay Silver Medal in New York for his RTE radio play The Woman at the Window. A friend of Leonard Cohen’s for more than thirty years, they wrote Between Your Love and Mine, a requiem for stage, months before Cohen’s death.
