Lawrence Kessenich has published five books of poetry: Strange News, Before Whose Glory, Age of Wonders, Pearl, and Hard Times Require Furious Dancing.
Lawrence Kessenich won the Strokestown International Poetry prize in 2010. His poetry has appeared in the Sewanee Review, Atlanta Review, Poetry Ireland Review, and many other magazines. He has published five books of poetry: Strange News, Before Whose Glory, Age of Wonders, Pearl, and Hard Times Require Furious Dancing. He has also published a novel, Cinnamon Girl, and his second novel, The Further Adventures of Daisy Miller will appear in the spring of 2025. Kessenich had an essay featured on the US National Public Radio’s “This I Believe” and in their anthology This I Believe: On Love. His plays have been produced in New York, Boston, and in Durango, Colorado, where he won The People’s Choice Award in a national competition.
