Luke Morgan has published two collections of poetry with Arlen House – Honest Walls (2016) and Beast (2022). He was writer-in-residence in Merlin College, Galway for the #WeAreThePoets initiative as part of Galway 2020.
Luke Morgan has published two collections of poetry with Arlen House – Honest Walls (2016) and Beast (2022). He was writer-in-residence in Merlin College, Galway for the #WeAreThePoets initiative as part of Galway 2020. Since then, he has completed residencies in multiple secondary schools around the West of Ireland, from Galway to Roscommon to Scarriff, Co. Clare. He ran a workshop for young people at the 2022 Strokestown International Poetry Festival.
In addition to poetry, Luke works as a professional filmmaker. His company Morgan Creative, which was founded with his brother Jake, have had films screened at festivals all over the world – from South Africa and Cannes, the USA to Ireland’s own Galway Film Fleadh, Dublin Film Festival, Belfast Film Festival, Cork Film Festival and Kerry Film Festival. He was the winner of the 2015 Screenplay Pitching Award at the Galway Film Fleadh and has won other awards for both writing and directing.
